From Grupo ICOT and the Canary Foundation Institute of Neurological Sciences, we congratulate AFA Lanzaroteon 30 years of dedication to the care of people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, as well as their families.
Earlier this month, our neurologist Dr. Manuel Murie Fernández took part in the event, where he attended the Family Round Table coordinated by Marta Díaz (R3 in Geriatrics) and shared a panel with Teresa Martínez and Begoña Polonio, leading figures in person-centered care and advances in occupational therapy.
During his presentation, Dr. Murie discussed how dual-task activities are affected by aging and neurological diseases, and introduced Dualebike as an innovative strategy for training these tasks and maintaining cognitive capacity.
We are proud to support and learn from organizations such as AFA Lanzarote, committed to improving the quality of life of individuals and their families.
